With news of our new, hot food series – WGN’s March 2025 Newsletter is here
You can read and download the Wythenshawe Good Neighbours (WGN) March 2025 Newsletter here.
Featuring WGN news and updates, along with what’s on and where to go in the local community.
- Exciting news about our new hot food series at our Community Lunch at Northenden Social Club. We secured a ‘Food Insecurity Grant’ from Manchester City Council’s South Manchester Neighbourhoods Team to serve a series of six hot meals from the end of February to end of April this year (for thirty five people each time). The hot meals are free but booking is essential. The hotpot with red cabbage was very popular, and our Members have more tasty, hot meals to look forward to!
- WGN Membership renewal information for 2025/26 (new Members also very welcome to join us!).
- A fun feature on the history and traditions of spring cleaning and a chance for Members to win one of five cleaning-aid ‘bundles’ (kindly provided by FareShare Greater Manchester) by entering our ‘Good Clean Fun’ Quiz!
- Community Noticeboard items including:
– a potted-history of Wythenshawe Hall and details of their Sunday Open Days
– The Block Cinema in its new home at Wythenshawe Forum.
