Our June Newsletter covers bingo, day-trips, Playlist for Life, climate change action and more

Katherine News

Welcome to our WGN June 2024 Newsletter. Features include:
  • The winning summer and autumn WGN day-trip destinations – as recently voted for by our Members (here we come Llandudno and Boundary Outlet Store!)

  • A shout-out for bingo as we turn National Bingo Day into a weeklong celebration!
  • Manchester’s Climate Change Action Plan – how we can all support it by reducing carbon emissions and helping to prevent plastic pollution, including by getting involved in our local Refill Campaign.
  • Playlist for Life scheme at the Wythenshawe Forum Library – a chance for people with dementia to explore the power of personalised playlists, with tunes that are meaningful to an individual gathered together, e.g. an mp3 player, to create ‘the soundtrack to their life’.
  • Uncertain Futures event comes to Wythenshawe – a film and discussion experience, listening to women aged 50+ speaking about their experiences of work and uncertain futures.
  • The Great BIG Green Week (8 – 16 June)
