Our August Newsletter features WGN and community news
Our WGN August 2024 Newsletter is now out and ready to read and download through the link.
It features:
- headline results from our annual Members Satisfaction Survey (and congrats to the lucky winner of our incentive prize draw);
- a reminder about our own weekly Community Coffee Mornings and Lunch, including that our Thursday Coffee Morning at Pioneer House High School’s Strawberry Fox Cafe has finished temporarily, for the school summer holiday. We’re looking forward to being back there on 12 September;
- Manchester Carers Forum – Wythenshawe Carers Peer Support Group – an informal gathering where carers living in Wythenshawe can chat to other carers and pick up support information;
- exciting news about our intention to develop an updated version of our ‘My resilience matters’ resource folder.
The new version will have more of a focus on topics such as:
– WGN services that are new since the previous version of the folder – like our Volunteer Drivers and Membership Schemes;
– support relating to the cost-of-living crisis;
– a strengthened and expanded local community section.
You may notice that August is a slimmed down version of our Newsletter. We’ll be back to eight pages for our forthcoming issues – from September onwards.
Do you have a suggestion or idea regarding content for our Newsletter, such as activities or support services suitable for older residents in Wythenshawe? If ‘yes’, we’d love to hear from you; contact Kathryn at WGNresilience@outlook.com
