We have funding for Gather, Eat, Move healthy eating/activities – read about this and other news in our August Newsletter
You can read and download the Wythenshawe Good Neighbours (WGN) August 2025 Newsletter here.
Featuring Wythenshawe Good Neighbours (WGN) updates and community news, including:
- Gather, Eat, Move: we have secured funding for this project – brought to the community by Age Friendly Manchester and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG). It’s fantastic news because it will enable us to deliver six weeks (starting in August) of free, healthy eating and exercise activities at our Community Lunch. From salad and fruit ‘bars’, to warming, hearts soups, and nutritious hot meals – along with a drumming workshop, chair-based exercise, and advice about avoiding falls and improving balance.
- Booking now open for WGN Members for our autumn day out to Oswaldtwistle Mills. We’ve been able to keep costs of this year’s coach trips down with funding from Co-op UK’s Local Community Fund. Co-op Members still have time to support us by selecting us as their local cause (up to October this year).
Community news:
