We love a WGN day out – February 2026 Newsletter
Our February Newsletter gives WGN Members a chance to vote for their preferred spring day trip destination!
Last year, our two coach trips were subsidised by monies raised by Co-op UK Members through its Local Community Fund scheme. Great news! We have enough funding left to enable us to lower the costs of a spring day out too.
WGN Members have been busy casting their votes. The choices being: Liverpool city centre; Port Sunlight village in Merseyside; Trentham Gardens and Shopping Village in Staffordshire; or The National Memorial Arboretum (also in Staffordshire). Results will be revealed in the March Newsletter.
Other features in our February Newsletter include:
- WGN news: Membership renewal in April 2026 and an update on the new version of our ‘My resilience matters’ resource folder – which is about to go to print.
- A reminder about Wythenshawe Warm Welcome Spaces at libraries and participating community venues. Expect a warm welcome and a cuppa!
- Chair Dance – Fitness Exercise Classes on Friday mornings at Northenden Social Club.
- The new NHS New Medicine Service. Community pharmacists can now provide additional support to people who’ve been recently prescribed medicines for certain eligible conditions.
- Some lighthearted items – from February ‘big freeze’ facts, to warm-hearted Valentine’s Day traditions.
