Job Role & Responsibilities The Lunch Organiser role is crucial and will aid in the recovery and support of older people, picking up their social life and networks, post COVID-19. WGN offer opportunities for older people to meet with friends and to make new ones, through regular coffee mornings and lunches. Our primary objective is to really listen to what our members have to say and to give them a voice to articulate what matters to them in terms of ageing well in Wythenshawe. Along the way we raise awareness of their hydration and nutrition and provide advice, information and guidance as a wider objective. WGN consults with the group about accessible venues, to source guest speakers and to provide creative and social activity.

The Ideal Candidate: Will live locally to the Wythenshawe area and be a driver with their own vehicle. Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile when working.  Part of this job will be preparing cold lunches and so a vehicle is required to drop off and pick up trays of food and to bulk shop.  Qualification and experience in food preparation and handling would be an advantage but, training will be offered to the right candidate.
