Exciting news in our Oct Newsletter – the launch of our new Membership Scheme
We have exciting news about our new Membership Scheme in our October Newsletter. Membership will include access to our soon-to-be-launched Volunteer Drivers Scheme – and other benefits.
Our Volunteer Drivers Scheme will see volunteers driving older people to health & wellbeing appointments and activities across Wythenshawe – helping to combat transport challenges, social isolation and impacts of the cost-of-living crisis.
Volunteer Drivers are at the heart of the scheme. If you’re interested to find out more, see the role and how to apply here. We’d love to hear from you.
Other Newsletter features include:
- Energy saving tips and information from Citizens Advice Manchester’s Energy Champion – at the Age Friendly Wythenshawe ‘Corners’ throughout October. Full schedule in the Newsletter.
- Manchester Care & Repair’s Home Energy Advice service.
- Things to do this autumn including: our WGN coach-trip to Oswaldtwistle Mills Home & Lifestyle Centre; the Mile Shy Club’s Beginners’ Walking Group at Wythenshawe Forum; Friends together over 50s group which meets Wednesdays at Emmaus, St. Andrew’s Church on Brownley Road; and String of Hearts Brooklands music sessions.
