Wythenshawe Good Neighbours Statement / Covid 19
With the threat of Coronavirus dominating the news, Wythenshawe Good Neighbours wants to take the opportunity to update all of the people who use our services, their families/carers, our partners, suppliers and any other visitors on the measures we are taking to respond to the situation and keep people safe. Wythenshawe Good Neighbours continues to monitor and respond to PHE health advice on limiting the spread of Covid-19.
As an organisation we are offering a telephone befriending service to all our members plus extending it to any older residents who may feel completely isolated and alone during this period of social isolation.
You can contact Marie: 07875286866 9am til 5pm Monday to Thursday and email outside of these hours email@example.com. All emails will be responded to as soon as practicable.
You can contact Sam: 07816960025 9am til 5pm Monday to Thursday and email outside of these hours firstname.lastname@example.org. All emails will be responded to as soon as practicable.
We continue to support our existing and new volunteers with online support and daily phone calls where required. We are taking the threat very seriously. As an organisation we have plans and procedures in place, with review meetings ensuring that we can keep everyone as safe as we can.
With this in mind, please take note of the following: Wythenshawe Good Neighbours are adapting their services daily responding to local needs. Presently, alongside daily telephone befriending calls we are working with local Pharmacies to make sure the over 70s are receiving their medication and prescriptions. We will update on our website, Facebook and Twitter.

We are experiencing unprecedented times and our aim is to respond daily to the needs of our older community and to continue to support new and existing volunteers. We would also like to ask our community to think about supporting those closest to them. Look to the left and to the right of you and offer support to your near neighbours.
Take care, stay home use the phone.
