Co-op Members raised over £1,500 for WGN – read about it in our November Newsletter
Our November 2025 Newsletter leads with great news! Co-op Members (who chose our community group as their Local Community Fund cause for 2024/25) have raised an amazing £1,595.94! Our thanks to each and every one of them. The funding will help us to make our day trips more affordable for our Members. We have already taken them to Chester this summer, and Oswaldtwistle Mills (in Lancashire) in November. We have one more trip to go in 2026 and Members will get to vote from a choice of destinations.
- There’s an update on our Gather, Eat and Move series of healthy meals and advice on nutrition, hydration and movement. We’re going to be joined by the South Manchester Community Falls Team and Manchester Local Care Organisation.
- We encourage our Members to provide content for our Newsletters. In this issue, Eileen shares some of her memories of WGN, as part of our 15th anniversary celebrations, and Linda shares her suggestions for getting a good night’s sleep.
- Also featured is important information about: Pension Credit claims / avoiding Winter Fuel Payment scams / Manchester’s free Cost of Living Adviceline and Renewal of Driving Licenses for those aged seventy and over.
- Community noticeboard – featuring our Chair’s radio show on Wythenshawe FM radio.
